7. Choose the Subselection tool in the Tools panel, and click any of the lines
that make up the car body shape.
All lines you create in Animate are vectors, which means their position and shape are
defined mathematically based on the anchor points that make up the shape. Animate
automatically creates whatever anchor points are necessary to reproduce the line you
draw — including points wherever two lines overlap, as you can see where the vertical
curved line intersects the car body shape.
8. Click away from the lines to deselect everything, then use the Selection tool
to click the overhanging line above the car.
The selected area displays a small cross-hatch pattern.
9. Press Shift and click the overhanging line below the car.
Pressing Shift allows you to select multiple objects at once; each item you Shift-click is
added to the previous selection.
Both overhanging lines
should be selected.
10. Press Delete/Backspace to remove both elements from the drawing.
