Project Summary

Although Animate is known as an animation program, you can see from this project that the
application offers a considerable array of drawing and painting tools. You learned how to import
a sketch, control the size of the Animate Stage, and align objects to the Stage. These skills set the
groundwork for any type of assignment. You also developed an understanding of layers and how they
simplify the construction of complex drawings and artwork.
Animate includes a range of drawing tools — from the basic shape tools, the Line tool for simple
lines, and the Pen and Pencil tools for more complex curves. Those tools, combined with the two
Animate drawing modes and the unique destructive editing capabilities that are part of the Animate
toolset, make it possible to create complex artwork directly on the Stage.
