I placed an order for a Printed Book and it has not arrived yet.
Against the Clock ships orders via US Media Mail, unless a quicker shipping option was chosen at checkout. Orders received on our web site ship within 48 business hours — most of the time, we ship the same or the very next business day. If you selected expedited shipping, and your order has not arrived, please contact us at once and we are happy to track your package.
Media Mail, through the USPS typically takes 4 to 7 business days in transit, depending on where you are located. If you have questions about your order, feel free to contact us through the Contact Us Form below.
What is Your Return Policy
Against The Clock will issue a refund to your original form of payment for items returned (arrival here at our offices) within 14 days IF the following are met:
REFUNDS ONLY OFFERED ON CURRENT VERSIONS OF AGAINST THE CLOCK BOOKS. AS OF JANUARY 1, 2021 ONLY 2021 BOOKS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR RETURN. 2020 OR OLDER TITLES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR RETURN...
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR EBOOKS.
Printed books sent for Return must ARRIVE back in original condition; shrink-wrapped books must be unopened.
The Codes on the inside back covers of the books must not be used, and there must be no stickers, residue, or any other damage to the book and/or its cover.
The book must be in resalable condition.
Package your return book so that it arrives in perfect and resalable condition. Since 100% of our orders are shipped with ground or air services, it is likely that your return book will need to be "RE-Packaged" in order for it to make it back to us in Perfect Condition.
Include your original order receipt within your package, and please include your email address and phone contact. Your return shipment will be inspected upon arrival. As long as the order arrives in perfect condition, a Credit will be issued immediately.
A 15% Re-stock fee will apply to all returns.

No, Against The Clock books do not ship with the Adobe Software. To download a demo or to purchase Adobe Software, visit www.adobe.com.

Where is the eBook I Bought?
If you have purchased an eBook, the Instructions to Download the Reader, the eBook, and to Access the Student Files that accompany your book, will all be available in your Account.
Log in and Click on My Account & Files. See the "How to View My ATC eBooks" Block for Download Instructions. Be sure to follow these steps closely and Be Sure to Authorize per the steps. Once you have installed the Reader, Follow the Steps below in the "Download My eBook(s)" Block.
For eBook purchases, you will not receive a physical code in the mail or by email, rather all of the Student Resources associated with your book will automatically populate your Against The Clock Account.
I had an eBook, Why is it Not In My Account?
We have recently launched our New Site. If you purchased an eBook prior to June 24th, your eBook Link was sent to you via email. Within that email, you were provided Install and Download instructions. If you received your invite via email and downloaded it to your Reader already, you are good to go. Your previous eBook purchases will not appear in your new account.
On our new site, new orders for all ebooks will automatically populate your account. Once your purchase is complete, come to the My Account & Files Page and View the Instructions in the How to View My ATC eBooks Block.
Once you Download the Reader App, Proceed to the Block below to Access and Download your available eBooks into your Reader Library.
Why Do I Need a Special Reader to Read ATC eBooks?
Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) and Freading allow you to download and read eBooks on Windows and Mac computers, as well as on most Android devices.
Serving eBooks through one of these “Readers” allows the Publisher to confirm the pagination is consistent from print to electronic layout - page 100 is the same, whether you are reading from a printed book or from one of our eBooks.
The Publisher uses Digital Rights Management technologies to protect our digital media against copyright infringement.
Can I View my eBook on More than One Device?
Yes, you can view your eBook on two devices from with the Reader Application as long as you Authorize per the instructions.
If you do not authorize the application to your Adobe ID up front (at the time of installing the eBook), you will not be able to use the eBook on more than one device.
Can I Read an ATC eBook on a ChromeBook?
While Chromebooks does run Android applications, they are often not optimized for your device. We have found found that most reader apps perform inefficiently on Chromebook device.
Can I Read an ATC eBook on My Kindle Device?
Our books do not read natively on a Kindle device. Kindle will not run the appropriate apps. Our eBooks are able to be viewed on a Kindle Fire with Adobe Digital Editions or the Freading app.
How do I Gain Access to the Student Resource Files that accompany My eBook?
With the purchase of an eBook, the Student Resource Files that accompany your book will Automatically Populate the “Download My Student Files” Block in your account. Log into your Against The Clock Account. Select My Account, and then My Account & Files from the top navigation. Navigate to the "Download My Files" block and Click to Download your files.
How do I Gain Access to the Student Resource Files that accompany My Printed Book?
If you don’t already have an account, Create one and Log In by selecting Create an Account under the Sign in icon at the top of this site.
If you have purchased a Printed Book, Select My Account, and then My Account & Files from the top navigation.
In the “Get My Student Resource Files” Block, Select your Book Title and Version from the drop-down menus, and Enter Your Code, Exactly how it appears on the Inside Back Cover of your Book. Click Submit.
At this time, the files that accompany your book will appear in the Bottom Block, “Download My Student Files”. Click to Download.
ATC Fonts, Where are they and Why do I need them?
ATC fonts are for the sole use of its customers. The fonts should only be used to complete specific lessons in Against The Clock training materials so that your project results match the book.
Log into your Account, Click My Account and then My Account & Files. Here, in the Fonts Block, you can download the ATC Fonts, for use on either Mac or Windows.
Basic instructions for installing fonts are provided in the same Block in your account. Choose to view the Guide to Installing Fonts on Windows or Mac.
I bought a Used Book, How Do I Get the Student Files?
If you have purchased a Used Printed Book and the Code has been compromised, you will need to purchase New Code Access.
From the Bookstore page on this site, select your Book Title, Choose the correct Version to match your software, and then Click on the Replacement Files Tab to make your purchase.
You will be required to create an Account before you may checkout and complete your purchase.
You will not receive a physical code in the mail or by email, rather the files associated with your book will automatically populate your Against The Clock Account.
Click My Account and then My Account and Files from the top bar of this site. If you are coming back after your initial purchase, be sure you are logged in.
The files associated with your book will automatically populate your account. The replacement files will be displayed and ready to download from within the Download My Student Files block.
I bought Replacement Student Files, where are they?
If you have purchased replacement files for a used book, the files will automatically be added to your account.
You will not receive a physical code in the mail or by email, rather the files associated with your book will automatically populate your Against The Clock Account.
Log in and Click My Account and then My Account & Files.
Click on the Download My Student Files Block to display and download the files.
If you purchased replacement files for a book that is for version CS5 or older, these files may be shipped to you on CD.
My Student Files Don't Seem to Match My Book
Each of the ATC books includes both regular step-by-step projects as well as Portfolio Builder assignments. If you have downloaded the files for your book but they appear to be the wrong files and do not match your book, check to be sure you are downloading and viewing the correct items.
Do you have more than one book in your account? Might you have downloaded the files from a different book?
Double-check your file names.

Can I Access My Account & Files from more than one computer?
Yes, as long as you log in to our site using your Email and Password, you will be able to log in from home, school or office. Your account is tied to your Email and Password.
What is Errata and Where is It?
While Against The Clock makes every effort to publish error-free books, occasional errors will appear in books and files. If we are aware of any corrections in your book, the changes and comments will be listed within your account. If there are any errata for your book, they will be available for download from the Errata Block in your account.
If there are no changes or errors, this block will hold no available files.
How Do I "Share" my Test and Course Results with My Instructor?
Whether you have purchased a book from our Site, your Bookstore, Amazon, if you purchased an eBook or even Replacement Student Files, you will gain access to the Student Resources associated with your book.
When you register your book, at the time of purchase or at the point you are entering your Student Files Code, you will be prompted to “Share your Test and Course Results" with your Instructor. Follow the steps in the pop-up to choose your School and Teacher. Once linked, you will be directed back to your Account Page to access the various tools and resources that accompany your book.
Note: You will have the option to skip and not share your course results during the linking process.
I Don't Want To "Share" my Test and Course Results - What Do I Do?
When you register your book, at the time of purchase or at the point you are entering your Student Files Code, you will be prompted to “Share your Test and Course Results" with your Instructor.
If you do not wish to share your results, or if you are a self-learner, follow the steps in the pop-up to choose your School and Teacher. You will then be presented with an option to not share. Click the “Don’t want to share your course results…” option to keep your course results to yourself.
I Didn't Share My Test and Course Results - Can I do it Now?
If you have already established your account and have now decided to Share your Test and Course Results with your teacher, you can still do so. Come to your My Account and Files page. At the top of the Take Quizzes and Tests Block, click on the “Need to share your results with your instructor” link.
Now, follow the steps in the pop-up to choose your School and Teacher. Once linked, you will be directed back to your Account Page to access the various tools and resources that accompany your book.
